Project Overview

This redesign project focuses on improving the website for Save the Beach Maldives, an NGO dedicated to marine conservation, reef rehabilitation, and community education. The objective was to create a cleaner, more modern interface that enhances user experience and encourages engagement through clear navigation, impactful visuals, and simplified interaction.

Key Features
Visual Homepage Banner
: A full-width image of the Maldives to create emotional impact and reflect the NGO’s mission.
Clear Navigation Structure:
Simplified menu items for easier access: Home, About, Projects, engage.
Mission & Goals Highlighted: Displayed early on the homepage to quickly inform and build trust.
Our Approach Section: Visually broken into three parts: Conservation & Research, Beach Cleanups, Community Engagement.
Pop-Up Enquiry Form: Instead of a full-page contact section, a pop-up form allows users to inquire or sponsor with ease.
Moodboard & Branding: Ocean-inspired colors (blue, green, white) and soft shapes reflect the calming, nature-based mission.

Design Decisions
Merged "Support" and "Contact" into one: A minimalist Get in Touch button triggers a form, reducing friction and clutter.
Used white space and icons strategically: Improves readability and reduces cognitive overload for visitors.

How It Meets the Redesign Goals

Improved Usability: Clear sections, large buttons, and intuitive flow make navigation easy.
Modern Aesthetic: Clean layouts, modern fonts, and soft textures elevate visual appeal.
Stronger Brand Alignment: Visuals and language reflect the purpose and values of the NGO.
Increased Engagement: Pop-up forms, calls to action, and project highlights encourage users to participate.
