LECTURES

INSTRUCTIONS

Project 1 – Exercise 1
For this exercise, we were given a muted video clip from Everything Everywhere All at Once and instructed to record our own voice using a phone. We then searched for suitable sound effects online and edited everything together in Adobe Premiere Pro to create a complete audio-dubbed scene.

Requirements:
  • A Google Spreadsheet with the list of sound sources.
  • A YouTube video of the completed dubbed scene.

Timeframe: Week 02 – Week 07
Deadline: Week 07

PROCESS

I started by finding the sound effects and worked with a friend to record the dialogue. Mr. Kannan had made a template of a google sheet document to record the links of the sound effects.

After downloading the video and gathering all the sound effects, I began the editing process. Changing voice to a male’s voice was an interesting experience, and I had fun experimenting with it.

Once everything was completed, I did a final check to ensure there were no issues with the video.

Project 1 – Exercise 2

For this exercise, we were required to record our own voice and apply several audio effects to it. The goal was to make the voice sound like it was coming from different environments or characters, such as a phone call, from inside a closet (muffled), inside a toilet or bathroom, an underground cave, and an alien or orc-like voice. The software used for this task was Adobe Audition.

PROCESS
First, I recorded a five-second audio clip using my phone. After that, I opened Adobe Audition and edited the tracks to make them sound more like the effects.

After completing the edits, I exported the audio files and uploaded them to a designated Google Drive folder.
